The Speech Therapy Department of Therapy Plus Fitness works as a team to help patients improve their ability to communicate.

In addition to the patient, we work closely with physicians, family, and teachers. Our experienced speech pathologists want to help patients improve their communication skills and lead fuller lives.

Speech and Swallowing Therapy for Adults

Speech-language therapy services for adults recovering from stroke or head injury include:

  • Comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations for inpatients and outpatients.

Katie has a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo. Her areas of interest include pediatric speech and language disorders. Katie is a member of American-Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama (SHAA).
