Both Marshall Medical Centers North and South feature certified Trauma II Emergency Departments – and we also offer Emergency Medical Services (ambulance service) to the citizens of Marshall County and the surrounding area. Our Emergency Departments are both physician staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Utilizing the most modern equipment and medical procedures, we treat almost 70,000 emergency patients each year.
In addition, our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides advanced life support to the people of our community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We provide nine emergency units that respond to approximately 800 calls per month throughout Marshall County and the surrounding area.
Comprised of skilled Paramedics and EMT’s, our EMS staff maintains a high level of patient care by being updated continually on new education and equipment advances. Our staff also maintains State of Alabama EMS and National Registry of EMT’s standards, along with hazardous materials and weapons of mass destruction training. |
