L.I.F.E. Lean In For Encouragement - cancer support group

Fighting cancer requires a lot of support. That’s why the Marshall Cancer Care Center created L.I.F.E., which stands for Lean In For Encouragement.

Feb 13 - Inauguaral meeting of a “women only” LIFE group that will meet every  other month to discuss issues our female patients, particularly breast cancer patients in a social setting in which they can get to know each other and, hopefully, help each other.  First event will be a Roundtable discussion for female cancer survivors.  Gina Hollingsworth will lead this first event by discussing some general information and sharing about navigation.

March 13 - Valerie Jones, Art Teacher for Guntersville H.S. will lead attendees in an art therapy project.  NO artistic ability is needed.  This is  a fun time for cancer survivors to enjoy being together and working on something fun.

This support group meets monthly to share meaningful activities and useful information. Lunch N Learns begin at noon. Please make your reservation by calling (256) 571-8000.
